From his workshop in rural Dorset, he accommodates on a one-to-one basis, helping you improve your technique, and learn woodturning with experienced supervision and a highly knowledgable teacher with years of nurturing the craft. Experience Day

Participants will enjoy an amazing introduction to the art of woodturning. After a short safety brief, Joe will guide you to producing a piece you will be able to take home and appreciate. Depending on your experience, the course will include basic skills required with bowl making or for the more experienced woodturner, Joe can teach more advanced pieces like artistic hollow form work, as an example. Throughout the day, you will receive the very best woodturning tuition from a Registered Professional Turner and Yeoman to the Worshipful Company.

With professional tuition you can really hone your craft, improve precision, and practice how to get those perfect curves and shapes. During your woodturning lesson, you will learn all the tips and tricks you need to create beautiful pieces.

You can book either a half day or a full day, both of which you will get the chance to create a unique piece alongside one of the most sought after tutors in the UK today. 

Joe is fully insured and DBS checked, ensuring the highest standards and keeping all involved with the tuition day safe and comfortable.

Included In Your Day

All materials and safety equipment required, as well as a short safety briefing.

Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day, it is essential as taking breaks from the lathe is required to maintain focus and safe practice. 

Lunch will be provided to those booking onto a full day woodturning course.
